Knights of St. Andrew Members Appreciation Dinner

The Omaha Scottish Rite's premier service group, the Knights of St. Andrew is hosting the annual appreciation dinner for members. Jim Hirl will be catering a chicken cordon bleu dinner for Knights. The dinner is on Friday, January 23, 2015, and the cost is $10/person. The dinner is open to all Knights of St. Andrew (Omaha and Lincoln Valleys) and their families and guests.

We will be  presenting service awards for Knights who have volunteered at KSA gigs throughout the year, which is one of the principal sources of revenue for the Knights of St. Andrew. Money raised by the KSA returns to the Valley for purchases which may not have been otherwise budgeted for. Since 2005, the KSA has donated over $30,000 back to the Scottish Rite, purchasing a defibrillator, stanchions for events, high chairs for the ballroom, bronze lamps for the 33rd room, and much more.

We will also be presenting the annual Dennis P. Samuelson Service Award, which recognizes a relatively new 32nd degree "black hat" KSA member who has exemplified the spirit of service to the Valley. Past recipients of this prestigious award include Thomas Begley, Jr., John Chester, James S. Beard, Chris Nigro, Bill Kimme, and Don Kavalec.
