Lincoln Scottish Rite Hosts Robert Burns Dinner
The Valley of Lincoln hosted the annual Robert Burns Dinner, celebrating Scotland's national poet and Freemason. Seventy-five guests enjoyed bagpipe music, entertainment, a great dinner, and of course, freshly prepared haggis. Additionally, silent auction items raised about $1,000 for the RiteCare Speech and Language Clinic at UNL's Barkley Memorial Center.
Over 250 Attend Curt Edic Retirement Party
The Valley of Omaha celebrated the end of an era with the retirement of Curtis M. Edic, 33°, General Secretary after 16 years. Curt joined the Scottish Rite in 1975, intending to use the Scottish Rite as a springboard to get active in the Shrine. Along the way, he got involved in the Scottish Rite and has participated in one way or another ever since. . .

Hastings Masonic Center Projects Improve Use of Building
The Central Nebraska Scottish Rite at Hastings owes a big Thank You to Jim Horsham, 32° who built a play area for the RiteCare children across from the Clinic on the lower level. Covering a small stairwell leading to an Order of the Eastern Star supply room, children can read or play in this quiet nook by day.
Pacific Life Foundation Presents $5,000 Grant to RiteCare
Mike O’Donnell, 32°, presented a check by the Pacific Life Foundation for $5,000 for RiteCare services at the November Lodge of Perfection dinner. Mike worked on the Employee Impact Grant from the Pacific Life Foundation, writing about how speech-language services helped him as a child, and how the Scottish Rite’s RiteCare Clinics serve children today.
