The Officers for the Lodge of Perfection, Chapter of Rose Croix, Council of Kadosh and Omaha Consistory bodies of the Scottish Rite were installed on Monday, January 15, 2018.
Installing Master Paul Rutherford, 33° explained the duties of each office, declaring each officer duly installed. Afterward, officers and guests enjoyed a catered dinner of chicken parmigiana, slice pork loin, salad, and vegetables.
As Venerable Master for the Lodge of Perfection, Chris Nigro, 32° KCCH served as Master of Ceremonies for the dinner, welcoming guests and recognizing VIPs, including M.W. Rick Myers, 33°, Grand Master of Masons in Nebraska, Charles V. Sederstrom, Jr., 33°, Sovereign Grand Inspector General for Nebraska, David Norton, Potentate of Tangier Shrine (and officer in the Chapter of Rose Croix), as well as Jonathan Paz, 32° KCCH and Jeffrey Coleman, 32° KCCH, officers in the York Rite Grand Lodge line. Chris called attention to the wonderful unity Omaha Masonic bodies share as so many Brothers are also serve as Grand Lodge, Blue Lodge, Eastern Star, Shrine, and York Rite officers while also being active Scottish Rite Masons.
Among the 2018 Officers’ goals for the year is engaging Scottish Rite Masons in events, increasing the success of our fundraisers, recruiting new members by visiting Blue Lodges, and reducing the loss of membership through suspension or non-payment of dues
