The Omaha Scottish Rite could not have ordered a better summer’s day for the Membership Picnic on Sunday, June 12th. Held at the Bur-Oak Picnic Pavilion at Mahoney State Park, more than 30 Scottish Rite Masons and their families came out for a family picnic. After some light morning rain, the afternoon weather was a warm 90°, but a cool breeze and the shade of the picnic pavilion kept everyone from getting too hot.
The Culinary Masters served pulled pork, beans, and chips, with Greg Swinarski’s famous s’mores afterward.
It was a perfect day for the picnic, and everyone enjoyed a relaxed afternoon of fellowship and great food.
