Omaha Knights of St. Andrew celebrated the annual Dennis Samuelson Dinner on Saturday, December 18th, recognizing members for their accomplishments during the year.
The Culinary Masters served a fantastic dinner with shepherd’s pie, roasted Brussels sprouts, and homemade Scotch eggs made by T.J. Brumfield, 32°. T.J. served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening, welcoming guests and speaking about the servant-leadership of The Knights of St. Andrew.
Venerable Master Carl Simmons recognized Mo Krishna, 32° as the Dennis Samuelson Service Award recipient for 2021, thanking Mo for volunteering at KSA gigs and serving as Secretary beginning in 2022. The award recognizes honors Venerable Master Dennis Samuelson, who served as Venerable Master in 2005 and passed away in 2013, and recognizes a Knight of St. Andrew who has been a Scottish Rite Mason for less than 5 years, and his distinguished himself through his service and leadership.
Carl also presented out-going Secretary Alan Boulter, 32° an engraved silver tankard in recognition of his three years as Secretary for the KSA. T.J. presented Carl a similar tankard in appreciation for his year as Venerable Master.
Carl also knighted Matthew Parker, 32° and Wally Farley, 32°, both of whom joined in the Fall Reunion, as members of the Omaha Knights of St. Andrew and presented them with a patent as Omaha’s newest KSA members.
During the evening, Dan Alati, 32° surprised his wife Yong with a birthday cake and roses. Dan led the guests in singing Happy Birthday to Yong; Dan and Yong recently celebrated their 51st anniversary as well.
