On November 2, 3, and 4, 2017, the Omaha Valley hosted the Fall Reunion, welcoming six new 32° Princes of the Royal Secret. The Reunion began with social time and introductions on Thursday evening, followed by the 4°, 8°, hosted by the officers of the Grand Lodge of Nebraska, and the 9°-10°, which continues the story of the 2nd Section Master’s Degree. . .

RECOGNIZING OUR 2017 HONORS BRETHREN

Every two years, the Supreme Council for the Scottish Rite of the United States for the Southern Jurisdiction confers the highest honors on Brethren, the Thirty-Third Degree and the Knight Commander of the Court of Honour (KCCH). Omaha Scottish Rite Masons recognized five Brethren who received their KCCH and two Brethren who were coroneted 33° Inspectors General Honorary. . .

More than $60,000 Raised for RiteCare at 10th Annual Friends of Scottish Rite Dinner & Auction

Celebrating the 10th Friends of Scottish Rite Dinner and Auction, the Scottish Rite Foundation of Omaha had its best year ever for the annual event. This year, the Friends Dinner was held on Friday, October 13th, welcoming a record number of guests – nearly 250 guests filled the Scottish Rite ballroom at 20th and Douglas Streets. Guests enjoyed a hosted wine tasting and fine Scotch tasting, bid on extraordinary silent and live auction items, including a photograph signed by Apollo XI astronauts, vacation packages, fine art, and several beautiful handmade quilts. . .

Nebraska RiteCare Retreat Updates Scottish Rite Masons On Our Annual $680,000 Investment in Speech Therapy

Several years ago, Scottish Rite Masons recognized that the RiteCare Clinics were in danger of developing a “silo mentality,” where each clinic operated independently of one another and not utilizing the expertise of the entire RiteCare system. In response, SGIG Charles V. Sederstrom, Jr., 33° arranged an annual RiteCare retreat. . .

Scottish Rite 50-Year and UNO Scholarship Presentations

Each September, the Omaha Valley Scottish Rite makes special presentations, recognizing our 50-Year members and our UNO scholarship recipients. This year, nearly 100 Scottish Rite Masons and their ladies gathered to make the presentations, after enjoying a wonderful dinner of homemade lasagna, breadsticks and salad made by our Culinary Masters. . . 

Valley of Omaha Celebrates the Craft

The Valley of Omaha joined Scottish Rite Masons around the nation for the 5th annual Celebrating the Craft fundraiser, supporting the local Valley Foundation and RiteCare Speech and Language services as well as the House of the Temple’s plans for a world-class Masonic museum and meeting space in our nation’s capital. This year, TJ Brumfield, 32° - himself a RiteCare father – came in full costume as the Cat in the Hat, reading stories to the kids followed by a great pasta dinner made by our own Culinary Masters and the Celebrating the Craft web-a-thon. . .
