Dan has been active in numerous Masonic organizations, including Albert Pike Lodge #333, Springfield Lodge #112, and the Scottish Rite.

Dan is a native of Omaha.  He graduated from Elkhorn High School (Elkhorn, NE) and attended college at Creighton University (BSBA 1989).  Dan has been employed at Builders Supply Company since 1984 and currently serves as it’s Executive Vice President. He is married to Joline, has four children, and resides in Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Dan is active in his church and service in his community.  Dan has served many roles of board leadership at the Omaha Home for Boys, Omaha Community Playhouse, Suburban Rotary Club of Omaha, Metropolitan Omaha Builders Association and other organizations.


Masonic Background

Brother Wellendorf was raised a Master Mason in Springfield Lodge No. 112 in Springfield, NE in 1991, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1996, Secretary (1998-2004), and Treasurer (2005-present).  He has served as Treasurer of Albert Pike Lodge No. 333 of Nebraska since it was chartered in 2014 and is also a member of GW Linninger Lodge No. 268 of Nebraska.

Brother Wellendorf received his Scottish Rite degrees in the Lincoln Valley as a courtesy to Omaha in May of 1991.  Dan has taken an active part of the Reunions at Omaha Valley

since he joined and has served as an assistant stage director since 1999.  He received his KCCH in 2003 and 33° Honorary in 2009.  Dan was the Eminent Commander of the Omaha Consistory in 2009 and has been Degree Director for the 33° since 2013. Dan was appointed as Deputy to the Supreme council in December of 2020 and became the Sovereign Grand Inspector General in Nebraska on August 20, 2023 at the Council’s Biennial Session.   He is a member of the York Rite Chapter/Council/Commandry in Omaha, Tangier Shrine, and the Royal Order of Scotland.
