Since 2022, Bill has served on the Cathedral Board as the Chairman of Building and Grounds subcommittee.  He also works with The Culinary Masters serving dinners at Lodge meetings.

Bro. William E. German was raised as a Master Mason in June 1976 in Covert Lodge #11.  He became a Scottish Rite Mason in November 1976.  Bill was honored to be invested a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in October of 2019 and Coroneted a 33° Inspector General Honorary in October of 2023.  Since 2022, Bill has served on the Cathedral Board as the Chairman of Building and Grounds subcommittee.  He also works with The Culinary Masters serving dinners at Lodge meetings.  A Shriner since December 1977, Bill was the Potentate of Tangier Shrine in 2022.  He is currently serving as the Treasurer for Tangier, as well as being a Co-Manager of Tangier’s building projects.  Bill is a Knight in The Royal Order of Scotland and Trustee Emeritus of the Omaha Home for Boys. 

After 27+ years of self-employment, Bill sold his vending machine business and retired in 2012.  Bill and wife, Colleen, have been married for 43 years.  He is the dad to three daughters and a son, “Papa” to 14 grandchildren and great-grandfather of two.
