Bro. Walt Keast, 33° is past President of the original Tangier Shrine Corvettes. He is active in the Tangier Vintage Iron Club and the Tangier Shrine Bowl Unit.. He enjoys working at the Tangier Shrine Circus and the Spring and Fall Tangier car shows.

Bro. Walter L. Keast is a native of Oakland, Iowa, graduating from Oakland Community HIgh School in 1960.
Walt made several career changes in his early years, including managing lumber yards for Fullerton Lumber in Latimer, Iowa and Shelby, Iowa. He was an advertising representative for KECK Radio in Lincoln, Nebraska. Walt owned and operated Muffler Shops in Austin, Rochester, Mankato, and Albert Lea, Minnesota.
In 1976, Walt purchased Davenport Chevrolet Oldsmobile Pontiac in Oakland, Iowa from his uncle Walter “Buzz” Davenport. In 1933, he purchased the Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership in Harlan, Iowa, and in 2007, he purchased the Chevrolet Buick GMC dealership in Harlan, Iowa. In 2008, the two Harlan dealerships were combined to form Keast Auto Center, which is now co-owned and managed by his son Steve Keast.
Keast Motors in Oakland is managed by his daughter Deborah Keast.
Walt always had an interest in cars, and raced stock cars on many racetracks in the Midwest for over 12 years. He buys, sells and builds custom antique cars as a hobby.
Walt is a Trustee Emeritus of the Omaha Home for Boys from 2003 to 2015. He is also Past President of the Metro Area Youth Foundation, which supports families with childhood cancer.

Brother Walt was raised a Master Mason in Ark Lodge #335 in Oakland, Iowa in 1977. He joined the Omaha Valley of the Scottish Rite and Tangier Shrine in 1978.
Walt was invested a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 2015 and Coroneted a 33° Inspector General Honorary in 2021.
Walt was elected President of the Scottish Rite Cathedral Board beginning in 2022.
