Bro. Frank W. Kroupa, 33°, is President of the Omaha Cathedral Association, the Omaha Valley holding company. He is chairman of the House and Grounds committee and is an ad hoc member of several other Cathedral Board committees. Presently he is chairman of the auditorium renovation fundraising effort selling new auditorium chairs to members.

Bro. Frank W. Kroupa is a Omaha native graduating from Benson High School. He entered the electrical trade and has been working for National Electric Co. for over 40 year. He is a project leader overseeing many projects in Omaha from Offutt Air Base to UNO.
He was raised to a Master Mason in Mizpah Lodge No. 302, Omaha, Nebraska in 1963. He joined Omaha Valley of Scottish Rite and Tangier Shrine in 1971 and began a Masonic life that continues be active in several ways today.
He is a member of Order of Eastern Star serving as Worthy Patron in 1984. During his active time in Eastern Star he and his wife, Susie, would help with many dinners and programs that were enjoyed by the members of the Chapter.
He started his career in Scottish Rite by joining the stage crew. He was part of the Crew for over 25 years and served as Director for 22 of them. When he retired he was named Director Emeritus. He is Past Venerable Master of Kadosh, Omaha Consistory, invested a Knight Commander Court of Honour in 1985 and coroneted a 33° Inspector General Honorary in 1991. He has served on the Membership Committee and currently is President of the Cathedral Board Association.
In 1973 he joined the Motor Patrol and was Captain in 1986. Over the last 37 years he has served either as a Chief Aide, Potentate’s Aide, Commander of Units, PotentateBall chairman or served on some committee within Tangier Shrine.
Bro. Kroupa was elected Oriental Guide in 1993 and elected Potentate in 1997. He is Past President of the CSSA. He was one of the very active Potentates in Omaha history. He has continued to serve as Coordinator for the Tangier Spaghetti Feed (for 26 years) which has been a big fundraiser for Tangier Shrine serving almost 3200 dinner in one day.
The Tangier Shrine Circus is one of the premier circuses in the Midwest and is primarily manned by members of Tangier. Bro. Frank is manpower coordinator keeping the help strategically placed to make the circus successful.
He joined York Rite in 1985 and is Past Director of the Royal Order of Jesters and a Green Fez. He is a life member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shrine.
Background
Bro. Kroupa and his wife, Susie, have three children, sons Douglas and Andrew and daughter Alison. They also have four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They are members of Saint Paul Methodist Church in Omaha.
