John A. Hardy, 32° KCCH
Venerable Master,
lodge of Perfection
Bro. John A. Hardy was born in Nebraska and raised on a farm in Tekamah. He lives in Omaha with his wife of 27 years, Laura, and they are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters.
Bro. Hardy’s time on the farm inspired a hard work ethic and exposed him to flying. His Dad, John L. Hardy was a farmer that owned a crop-dusting business with his wife, Suzanne, that also happened to be Bro. Hardy’s Flight Instructor.
Growing up on a farm, with very few neighbors, helped to develop Bro. Hardy’s knack for creativity and mischief—the building blocks of the career he chose. John is the owner of Brandscapes, an Omaha-based company that specializes in marketing, advertising, graphic and web design. They serve clients across the United States and have steered branding efforts for many Fortune 1,000 clients, including Berkshire Hathaway, Union Pacific, Kroger, Peter Kiewit Sons’ and ConAgra.
MASONIC BIOGRAPHY
Brother Hardy was introduced to Masonry in the late-1970s, when his Dad joined Lodge No. 31 in Tekamah, Nebraska and served as Worshipful Master in 1983. Bro. Hardy had different plans at the time and went on to the University of Nebraska - Kearney to pursue a career in aviation and play basketball.
Thirty years later, Masonry made its way back into Bro. Hardy’s life and he was raised as a Master Mason at Waterloo Lodge No. 102 in Elkhorn, Nebraska in 2012. He served as
Worshipful Master in 2015 where he utilized his marketing skills to help the lodge grow. With that effort, luck and a lot of great new Brothers, Waterloo No. 102 has seen consistent growth and has Brothers that are very involved with their Blue Lodge and community. Without their help and encouragement, I wouldn’t be here today.
Bro. John joined the Omaha Valley of the Scottish Rite in 2014 and is a Life Member of York Rite, Scottish Rite and Tangier Shrine.
