Gary ‘Grip’ Williams was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico where he completed High School in 1979 and then attended the U.S Naval Academy where he graduated in 1984.

After college, he served in the Navy for 29 1/2 years as a F-14 pilot until retiring in 2012 as a Captain.  After military retirement, he continued working at US Strategic Command as a civilian program analyst.

Grip holds a Bachelor’s degree in Oceanography from the Naval Academy and a MA degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.

Grip and his wife, Cynthia, reside in Papillion. Their two children are grown up, graduated and residing in Denver, CO and Pensacola, FL.

Masonic Background

Grip was raised a Master Mason in 2012 and joined the Scottish Rite in 2015. 

Grip is active with the Knights of St. Andrew and the Royal Order of the Duck, and is active with the Stage Crew during Reunions.
